Today we actually started doing schoolwork!! We were given our first assignment which stems off the walks we did last week. Each group was given an area in the city to go explore and map in an interesting way. We were supposed to tell a story with the area using what ever we came across as the rules.
We began by walking the area and following anything interesting we found. We followed many different things, and eventually found a church (Mariakyrke) that was one of the oldest buildings in the area. We also learned that they are tunneling under the church to make the new City Train. We met the sweetest old man named Stefan who shared with us a lot of information. We all were very inspired by this experience. We also sat and discussed our findings in the best coffee shop I've been in yet...Muggen.
After a day of working on the project we had to explore further and find more connections with the area. We eventually came up with the idea that our rules would be determined like Rock-Paper-Scissors. At each stop along our map we could reason out how Rock-Water-Man won! It's a stretch, but it's a fun and applicable way to look at the area.
I'm tired...I'm going to bed, but I can't stop sweating...it's been SOOO warm
